Over the summer, I had to read Finding Someplace. It was a story of a girl, named Reesie, who survived Hurricane Katrina. She had to leave her house alone. She only brought a backpack of items. She brought a phone, her and her brother’s birth certificates, a photo of her grandmother who passed away, and some other things I think would be necessary.
If I was in this situation I’d bring a first aid kit, if someone got hurt, a change of clothes, if I got wet or dirty, a wallet, in case I need to buy something, a phone, a charger for the phone, in case it dies, a flashlight, some batteries, a radio, LOTS of water, and LOTS of snacks. I’d bring lots of crackers and Goldfish. I would also bring a book, a pocket knife, just in case, food for my pets and my dog leash and my horses halter. I can’t leave without them! They also need snacks! And I’d be really cold at night without a blanket so I better bring that to. I really hope this doesn’t happen, but if so at least I know what I’d bring!
I really like how you explained why you would bring each item you did. I also really like how you’ll didn’t forget about your pets!
